How we Contribute to the World Around Us
Mutual responsibility and accountability is the cultural foundation of the Diaspora at large. Partnering in mentorship results in an endless cycle of learning, maturity and elevation in mindset. As we have had that gift of personal and professional mentorship bear fruit in our lives, we seek to do the same in all aspects of the community.
As a native and foster care alumna, our founder has provided regular hands-on guidance and support to at-risk populations from veterans to abuse survivors, as well as anti-trafficking, human rights, child welfare and family investment organizations. SOC’s nonprofit relationships range from federal and state policy implementation to supporting the establishment of personal and professional development post trauma, mentoring numerous abuse survivors and supporting them in their journey towards normalcy. Mentees have since been featured as Forbes 30 under 30 and People Magazine’s Most Interesting People, all while establishing their own healthy families, successful nonprofits, and consulting firms.
We have been at the forefront of policy efforts for over a decade that have changed and shaped the world for generations to come. We believe our legacy footprint is one of teachable efforts creating a bridge to successful thriving professional and healed personal lives.
